After I moved two of my Xanga blogs over to WordPress:

http://deerlifexanga.wordpress.com (no longer a working link… please see below for the updated link)

http://zechariah821.wordpress.com

… it didn’t occur to me that it’d be illegal for me to use the Xanga name… so earlier today, I changed the name of my deerlifexanga WordPress blog to:

http;//deerlifetrumpet.wordpress.com

Trumpet_1

I ended up including trumpet in the new name, because of the use of the trumpet in Nehemiah 4. My vision and intention for starting up my original deerlife blog at Xanga was based upon Nehemiah 4.

Here’s an excerpt from my About Page on deerlifetrumpet

I have been praying for some time God would bring together in a more cohesive way those of us who have a heart for revival and have received a calling to pray for revival. I believe we are spread too thinly on the wall (think Nehemiah).

Nehemiah 4:19 And I said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “The work is great and widely spread, and we are separated on the wall, far from one another. 20 In the place where you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.”

However, in the process of changing my blog name, it seems I managed to change my WordPress user name from naphtalideer! At this point, I’m not changing anything else, and have posted a question on the WP forums for help…

This past Sunday in our worship service, we sang Fanny Crosby’s hymn “All the Way My Savior Leads Me,” and as I’ve said and as I continue to say countless times, “God’s sovereignty is my sanity!” Here are the first two verses:

All the way my Savior leads me;
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?
Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well;
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.

All the way my Savior leads me,
Cheers each winding path I tread;
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the living Bread.
Though my weary steps may falter,
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see;
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see.

O! For Christ’s unadulterated cheer in these winding paths we tread in the blogosphere and elsewhere! May our God grant His children tastes of Living Bread and drinks of Living Water as we travel as pilgrims through this dry and thirsty land!

Psalm 81:10  I am the LORD your God,
who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Yours in Christ,

Karen

(Oh, yes, in case you’ve not heard, Xanga 2.0 appears to be a go, so for the time being, I’m not planning to move my naphtali_deer.xanga.com blog over to WordPress.)
